The basement Christmas party took place December 9, 1999. The beautiful Christmas tree was donated by Lanier and Emma. Yes, the tree is real, yes, it was once alive, and yes, those are real presents.

Wannabe Kathleen joyfully opens a package containing silk USC underwear. This one was an especially thoughtful gift from Lanier and Emma.

Snow in South Carolina! The last week in January, USC received about 4 inches of snow. Little John, seen here, is preparing to attack me with a well-packed snowball.
